The past eight months have been challenging! I don’t think anyone can say that they have been easy. We’ve been on such an emotional rollercoaster that it can be difficult to see the ways in which we’ve grown.
Since the holiday season has just begun, it is the perfect time to reflect on how you’ve grown as a person and as an athlete! This could be related to your training, your work, a hobby you developed, extra time with family or even through self-development!
The Benefits of Gratitude
Gratitude is beyond powerful! Studies have shown that individuals who implement gratitude practices are happier, have low stress levels and elevated life satisfaction. It had also been linked with higher quality sleep and duration, as well as stronger engagement in physical activity! The best thing about practicing gratitude is that it is FREE!!
Try not to judge yourself when doing this. Gratitude helps you set the intention of happiness and positivity as you move through your day. It also helps you appreciate and stay thankful for things that you GET to do each and every day, in which sometimes we take for granted!
