Performance Mindset

Athletes and performers of all ages and experience levels can greatly benefit from developing a strong performance mindset!


Strengthening mindset helps an athlete mentally as they move past their normal comfort zone in ways such as their perception, ability to focus and desire to challenge themselves.


Here are 3 steps that you can start to apply today to help you shift this mindset.


1. Work on becoming self-aware! The more self-aware you are, the more you will be able to connect with your emotions, thoughts and feelings. This connection will assist you in your ability to self-regulate during performance.


2. Focus on the solution! It’s so easy to allow excuses to build up and take over. Many time focusing on the problem seems to be the main focus. Instead, identify the problem but develop a solution through specific strategies you can implement.


3. Connect with your WHY! Your WHY holds a sense of purpose. This purpose connects to your motivation and drive. During training and competitions, allow yourself to reflect on your WHY so that you feel connected to your true passion!
