These are two key factors most athletes are aware of, especially in hot and humid weather! BUT….did you know that hydration has a HUGE impact on mental health?!?


Staying hydrated has been found to help:


💧 Lower risk of depression

💧 Lower risk of anxiety

💧 Improve overall mood

💧 Enhance mental clarity

💧 Reduce fatigue


The best way to develop your hydration strategy is to plan in advance, instead of waiting for feeling like you’re thirsty.


Some ideas:


💦Prep bottles of water the night before so you can grab and go in the morning


💦Be aware of how much water you need on a daily basis and much more as an athlete


💦Understand your body signals when you begin to feel dehydrated
